Property Address: 184 Brighton Road, Birmingham, B12 8QN
Looking for high-value, low-cost commercial or residential space just south of Birmingham city centre? We own and manage multiple units in the L-shaped retail parade of Brighton Court on Brighton Road. Situated in the heart of Balsall Heath, these premises are a stone’s throw from the city centre ring road (A4540).
Many of our available retail units within the Brighton Court parade benefit from frontage onto the A435 Moseley Road. This is a busy neighbourhood, ensuring consistent footfall for businesses of all shapes and sizes. The A435 also acts as an arterial route out of Birmingham city centre, providing direct road links to the M42. Having accessible premises from the M42, M6 and M5 is hugely beneficial for those heavily reliant on deliveries of stock.
Current occupiers within the Brighton Court parade feature A3/A5 retail outlets, many of whom are proprietors dedicated to serving the local community. The parade is easily recognisable, standing opposite Balsall Heath’s popular Lidl supermarket. Prospective commercial tenants should note that Brighton Court units also benefit from a rear service area, enabling deliveries to be completed away from the busy Moseley Road.
Brighton Road is a short walk from Edgbaston Stadium, which is the home of Warwickshire Cricket Club and the regular home of the England national team. It’s a great opportunity to attract footfall and new customers when Edgbaston stages big events like test matches and one-day internationals.

All you need to know about Balsall Heath
Balsall Heath was a thriving suburb of Birmingham in the heart of the Industrial Revolution, with its Victorian architecture oozing from every street. Although the city’s manufacturing industry has destabilised in recent decades, the Balsall Heath area has moved fast to diversify as a cosmopolitan and bohemian hub in England’s ‘Second City’.
In the district’s post-millennium era, Balsall Heath has benefitted from regeneration to many of its heritage buildings close by to Brighton Court on the Moseley Road. The Moseley Community Centre has been revamped and restored to its former glory, while all of the local mosques remain to support the area’s diverse community. A brand-new Joseph Chamberlain College also strands impressively on Moseley Road, supporting the area’s next generation of talent.
In 2015, a public referendum was conducted to approve a new “Neighbourhood Plan”, with a view to futureproofing the district. The plan contains proposals for a new railway station and additional protection for the area’s heritage structures.
