Balancing comfort with practicality
in a working space can be difficult. If the results of a recent
survey are to be believed however, it could be important when it
comes to boosting the happiness, and thus productivity, of your

The website Office Genie recently
conducted a survey to find out which factors contributed the most
to the happiness of a working environment. The survey asked 2,000
UK office workers about their working environment and what factors
they thought influenced the happiness of employees who used that
space regularly.

It found that the design of a
workplace boosted the happiness of workers by 33%. This was
followed by noise level at 8%, social interaction at 8%, light
level at 6% and temperature at 5%.

The results support similar findings
from other surveys that have highlighted the impact of workplace
design on the productivity of a business.

This survey suggests that a
well-designed working space can help to make your employees enjoy
coming to work. This has a number of benefits to you as an employer
