A town set for significant housing development
Some 12,800 new homes have been pencilled in for the Wellingborough area, with up to 12,400 new jobs also set to be created to accompany this urban growth. Urban regeneration set to provide transport boost too
Since the plans for the new housing developments have been approved by Wellingborough Borough Council, further plans for urban regeneration in the town are afoot. Trains from Wellingborough to London St Pancras depart every half-an-hour and take less than an hour. Wellingborough is also directly connected to major commercial cities such as Nottingham, Leicester, Sheffield and Leeds by the same rail line. Meanwhile the A14 and M1 both skirt the town, providing links to East Anglia and the South West.
